Our history
Knutec LLC was founded in 2016 by Kim and Troy Knutson, who had over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. The company initially started out as a cable integrator for Charter Communications and Comcast Cable.
In early 2017, Knutec expanded its services to include generator sales and service. The company quickly gained a reputation for quality work and service, and by 2018, it was providing equipment installation services to AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
By the end of 2020, Knutec's service footprint had grown from the Suncoast area of Florida to include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Today, Knutec is a leading provider of power and infrastructure solutions. The company offers a wide range of services, including standby power, AC and DC power systems, batteries and energy storage, HVAC, UPS systems, power quality, and generator sales and service.
Knutec has grown from a small company with two employees to a regional leader with dozens of employees. The company has been recognized for its quality work and service by several organizations, including the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the Power Systems Alliance (PSA).
